FS#9 - google groups or someother mailing list
Would it be possible to use google groups as a mailing for discussions instead of Arch's.
Being that it's currently an unofficial project, I didn't plan on keeping the discussion there (on the Arch mailing lists nor the forum announcement post) as a permanent thing. There are two branches of thought here:
In the case of #1, a non-Arch discussion medium wouldn't make sense because no other official Arch projects, to my knowledge, have such an out-of-band discussion medium. Were the project adopted officially, I'd have to have created a mailing list simply to decommission it as part of the end goal.
In the case of #2, I could certainly set up something out-of-band, but it'd likely be a mailman instance if I did- just as lists.archlinux.org mailing lists are.
Is there a reason you prefer a google groups specifically? Or would a mailman list be acceptable? I should also note that I also have direct contact info here. As AIF-NG matures, however, I can see the benefit of an asynchronus discussion medium, even if it is temporary in the "long-run".
